It’s been a while since utilising the space at home to shoot a look. So thought I’d arrange the place a little differently to showcase this minimal relaxed two piece and new accessories. We’ve recently had a new bench installed at my place which I have been dying to make use of creatively. I am loving white and wood at the moment and find myself perusing Pinterest for endless hours hunting for home inspiration within this colour scheme. As todays look is an all white ensemble; made from soft linens, it only seemed suitable to photograph it more editorial in a relaxed style in place of my usual street shots. The draped fabrics were flattering whilst sitting, and have wanted to execute this kind of shoot for a while. I just needed to make sure the outfit was right for the vision I had. Culottes are still high on spring wardrobe rotation, especially when teamed with an elongated top or oversized dress. Thankfully both these pieces are sold as a set which makes my styling a lot easier today! I was tempted to wear some kind of neck fancy with this look, but wanted to channel pure minimalism with a contrast in strong accessories.
In my last post, I introduced you to accessories brand CHARLES & KEITH, whom I came across last month. I was drawn to their large selection of shoes and handbags and admire their diversity of classic versus risky styles. I featured the large tote bag last time so wanted to accessorise todays look with smaller, more refined pieces. The design of this bag is like a throwback to the 70’s, with the gold eye catching caging making the piece more luxurious. I’ve always been a believer of matching shoes to your handbag, so opted for these tassel slides that I will 95% live in throughout the summer. Yes, they are similar to the white mules I wore in my last post, but if you love a style and it works for you why not stick to it?

White, wood, greys and natural greens - oh baby, they do good, good things to me! It's definitely taking over my new home too, which just makes me so happy and blissed-out.
ReplyDeleteThe Free People two-piece is an absolutely incredible find by the way. The cutlottes and the split maxi top creates such a relaxed yet refined silhouette. And please don't even get me started on the Charles & Keith pieces. They're all quite special, especially the shoes; very Givenchy with the structured fringe detail.
