Classic Black

It’s been a while since I have worn a tailored black look. Although the temperatures are rising in Sydney, it’s not going to phase me to wear this darker colour option with the help of contributing warm tones. I am drawn more and more to camel and beige this season, and loving the burnt orange vibes that are popping up in great fabrics such as linen and suede. It’s a great colour to add to a basic foundation such as black, white and navy, and think it will be my ‘go to accessorising colour’ as the year comes to an end. Culottes are a great tailored piece to take you through to summer, especially in wide legged styles and floaty fabrics. I love the satin feel, and the monochrome detailing which add a bit of cutesy to what could be viewed as a serious business look. Anything neck detailing is a winner at the moment, whether it be pussy bows, bandanas or even just a recycled piece of fabric to give that French feel to any look. I am really on the hunt for a beaded one so if you guys know of any I’d love to hear some options.

As mentioned, camel is such a big hitter this season with the 70’s revival still going strong. I’m a fan of matching my shoes to bag, and opted for a tan cuff for extra styling points. Whenever I wear wide legged pants, it only seems right to add a killer heel. If I was a little taller, I would definitely rock this look with sneakers, but feel the culottes can look swamped without height. Lightweight tailoring is the way to go this summer. Don't think I will ever get bored of this trend, especially with all the yummy earthy tones coming through.
