This weekend I made my first trip outside of Sydney whilst staying in Australia! I headed an hour and a half up North to the Central Coast with Andrea. I’ve been dying to go for a while as this is Andrea’s home and have heard so many wonderful stories about the relaxed vibes that ooze from there. Before going, I asked Andrea what kind of locations will be fun to have as a backdrop for our 3 part blog post. I’ve had this vision of a sand dunes shoot for some time, ever since seeing a Louis Vuitton campaign video. There’s something magical about an endless amount of space with nobody around. When she told me they had mini sand dunes where we were going, I was sold!
I knew the lighting had to be golden hour, when the sun is setting and the air turns a little cooler. It’s such a vast open space we had to chill under a palm tree and wait until the sunshine was that little bit less harsh. A time to watch the waves from above and talk about our next trip (stay tuned!)
In December I won a Winona competition on Instagram and have been dying to style this beautifully crafted neutral two piece for a while. There’s only so much you can do on a sweltering hot day, so the cotton bralet seemed just right for the 32 degree day. Topped off with some beads I’ve had for years and a trusty boater hat, something I can't leave the house without this summer! I love how the skirt and top breath, and although both pieces are practically see through, there’s something classy feeling about them at the same time. It’s more of a beach look for me, bare foot and sea salt hair. But can see myself wearing this skirt with an oversized chunky knit and boots come the Autumn.
Have you noticed the hair change? (again) I had to go for a trusty long bob. It was time for a change and loving the chocolate colour with flashes of caramel blonde. What do you think?
